Generally The Script's songs are very heartfelt and come from the singers own stories. The video for Talk You Down reflects this and is about the singers breakup with a previous girlfriend. It interprets the songs title, but in a different way. It sounds like stopping someone jumping from a building and it could be a way of him to stop her dying internally by leaving him.
